Basil - Thai Siam Queen She can be a bit of a party diva with an unmistakable anise/liquorice, slightly spicy flavour. Add a few leaves to liven up a fruit punch or wine spritzer. Thai basil is a summer lover and hates the cold.

Lavender - Hidcote Lavender Hidcote has a stronger herby, floral scent and flavour so use sparingly. The vivid purple flowers are a wonderful botanical for cocktails – fresh as a garnish or used in a syrup mixer.

Lemon - Verbena Used for centuries as an invigorating, infusion and is the main ingredient in the iconic Peruvian drink Inca Kola. In cocktails, crushed leaves rubbed around the rim of a glass delivers a heady aromatic hit.

Mint - Strawberry All mints are great in drinks, but this one is a bit special. The small leaves have a distinct strawberry smell with a minty taste and berry hints. Made for a jug of your favourite summer cup.

Rosemary - Barbeque Rosemary’s a great botanical for drinks, it has a herbal, minty peppery flavour with a woody, slightly resinous after taste. It holds its own with strong liquor and is brilliant with grapefruit and oranges.

Thyme - Lemon Thyme with a citrussy twist. Lemon scented and herb garden must have, this thyme variation has everything. It’s a tough, Mediterranean sun lover that enjoys light, free draining soil and hates waterlogging. An excellent variety for pots where you can control the drainage and moisture. In cooking it pairs brilliantly with chicken and the higher levels of citronella in the lemony leaves, give it medicinal powers other thymes don’t have… Your Lemon Thyme will be really happy growing in our pot on a sunny windowsill until it needs potting on.
