Hopefully times are changing, with fewer pesticides used and rewilding being encouraged. These herbs will do their bit.

what’s included
Rosemary - Barbeque This variety has been specifically bred for its enhanced culinary benefits. A squat bushy habit produces thick, strongly flavoured stems and leaves which are a delight smoking on the BBQ.
Oregano You can’t beat sprinkling your own freshly dried oregano onto pizza, meats, BBQ veg and tomato salads. Use dried in a Herbes de Provence or Za'atar mix, to give an aromatic, earthy, peppery flavour.
Garden Mint Garden mint is milder than other mints and makes a fantastic marinade or rub for lamb in particular. It lends itself to yogurty BBQ dips such as tzatziki and raita and is a key ingredient in many dried herb mixes.
Common Sage Sage has a woody, earthy flavour of pine and citrus that cuts through fatty meats and game. Lay the thick stems and leaves across your BBQ coals to infuse your food with an aromatic smoke.
Common Thyme Common – pah! This variety has one of the strongest most intense flavours outside of wild thyme. The woody stems make the leaves easy to strip, toss the discarded stalks onto your hot BBQ coals.
Winter Savory Winter savory has an intense, peppery flavour and goes brilliantly with pork. Chop the leaves finely and add to rubs or marinades. Toss pruned, green stems on the BBQ for a lovely herbal infused smokie.
